Lemon juice

Lemon juice is a great alternative for use around the house instead of using chemicals.

For instance, if you want to brighten your clothes, pour a cup of lemon juice in the washer with you detergent instead of bleach. This is one I like because using bleach on my clothes makes me itch whether they are double rinsed or not.

You can use lemon juice to take onion odors off your hands, to remove tobacco stains from your fingers and to brighten your fingernails.

Plus lemon juice gives a very pleasant and clean smell to everything it is used on.
