Great idea House on the Prarie. I'll pass that one on to the wife and maybe one day we'll not have to spend extra money on paper towels.

We still use them though since there's a youngen in the house and naturally makes messes.
We are trying to teach our child to not use so many paper products. I would guess if we did away with paper towels it would make an impact on our child's life, too.

I actually do something quite similar to you Prairie. Rather than using towels though I just save clothing that has become damaged. I just cut them up into rags and we use them for cleaning. I just wash them up after and we reuse them. My husband also has some in an old dish pan that he uses when he works on vehicles and stuff. Once the clothing has become damaged they are still useful as clean up rags!
