Halloween Costumes

I don't know why this popped into my head but it did and I wanted to discuss it with all of you.

I know that everyone is pretty much at least attempting to go green and during the holidays this is something that most people seem to slack in because they get busy with the holidays.

Though I just had the thought of the costumes that kids wear during this time of the year. People purchase costumes for the kids to go out and collect candy then when the holiday is over these costumes tend to end up in the landfill.

This is something I really hate to think about but it is true. I would like to suggest to everyone who is thinking of doing this to take those old Halloween costumes and either donate them for others to enjoy or even better make your own costumes and make them so that the clothing and what not can be reused for other things as well.

Today I purchased a dress to go with my Halloween mask and I made sure that the dress will also be useful for an evening out or what ever I may need to dress up for.

It is going to work out nicely. I just wanted to talk to everyone about this because I am really trying to go green and would like to see others doing the same thing. I figure that the more we keep out of the landfills the better off we are going to be in the future.
