Default Edible flowers.

Yes, some flowers can be eaten and here are a few of them and suggestions of how to use them.

The flowers that form on onion plants, chive plants, and garlic flowers are all edible. But be sure to pick and use them before they start going to seed.

Chives sometimes forms blue flowers, but they are still edible.

Basil, you can make a sun tea from its flowers, set your suntea jug up as usual with water and regular tea bags and add a few basil flowers to the mix.

Dill flowers can be eaten in a cucumber, yougurt salad.

Guava flowers are sweet tasting and a great addition to your fruit salads.

Chrysanthemums are also edible and can be used in stir fry recipes and as an addition to most salads. You can even make an herbal tea from them.

Fuchsias can be used to garnish fish dishes, chicken, and to garnish vegetable dishes. You can even throw a few in your salads.

To use the flowers from any of these plants, remove the centers and wash well. Then let your imagination run wild.
