Default Construction Workers Trash

This is something that really upset me. At my sweeties place they had dug up his front yard to install a new water meter. All of this is of course good news, however the hole that is in the yard, the construction workers believe that it is their own personal landfill.

I was seriously pissed off when I walked out there and saw a couple of Gatorade bottles in there along with some snack cake wrappers.

I of course approached the foreman and voiced my complaint about their trash being left in this hole to be covered up when the work is done.

The foreman inspected the hole to see what it was that I was complaining about and he too was upset that his men were doing this kind of crap.

He then made the men go to each of the holes that had been dug to make sure there was no trash in there, and informed them that stuff like that won't be tolerated.

Here we are fighting to make this planet cleaner for the future to enjoy and we have to deal with this kind of shit. Hopefully this won't happen again. I know for sure that I check and make sure that there is no trash in there at all, because I don't want that stuff buried in the yard.

I informed them that recycling would make sure that the planet is in good shape for their children and grand children. They most likely didn't like what I had to say, however they can not deny that it is the truth.

You Go Girl!!!!

I am glad you gave them a piece of your mind, it sounds like they needed it.

Why couldn't they have just put their trash into their trucks until they got back to their office or home and then throw it away? Laziness, thats what it is.

Don't get me started on construction worker's trash, because when my home was finally finished they left a big pile of rubbish on the side of my house.

I asked the company to have someone come out and clean it up. They said the company had gone backrupt and there was nobody they could send out. What a mess.

I agree with you homealone and way to go for standing your ground.

Dynoflip, I am sorry to hear that you were left to deal with such a mess. That is horrible. No wonder that company went under, apparently they did not care enough for their customers and there for lost enough business to put them under.

I don't like being mean, but come on I do all that I can to make sure that my home is on track with going green, the last thing I want to see is some jerks turning my second home into a landfill.

I am just glad that the foreman was also in agreement with me in regards to my feeling on this matter. Now hopefully as this construction crew no longer makes their work areas a landfill, but insteads asks the people in the area to use their trash cans or take their trash with them and toss it out at their company or at their homes.
