The first option to try is an old fashion plunger. The use of a plunger will most likely due the trick of clearing out a blockage in your drains.
If the plunger does not work on your stubborn clog try using baking soda. Pour one cup of baking soda into the drain followed by 3 cups of boiling water. Though this will only work if water has not yet backed up into your sink or tub, and may need to be repeated a few times.
If water has backed up into your sink or tub, pour one cup of washing soda over the drain. Do not attempt to use washing soda if you have tried using a store bought drain cleaner as the two will have a bad reaction to one another.
Another method to clear a drain is to mix baking soda and vinegar together. pour one cup of baking soda, 3 cups of boiling water and one cup of vinegar into the drain.
