Be Crafty While Recycling
Many things that we throw away everday could be used for other purposes. You can create crafty, useful things out of these items instead of filling up the landfill.
1. You can make beautiful placemats for indoors or out using basic debris from your lawn such as sticks and reeds. You can glue them together or weave them with string. They are unique and will last a long time.
2. Make a beautifil frame for a mirror or pictures using plastic drink bottles. Choose as many colored bottles as you would like. Cut into small squares and flatten. Glue these in any pattern you like around the edge of a mirror or picture frame.
3. Create a beautiful, one of a kind purse to gift a friend or call you own out of old clothing you no longer wear. Create a pattern, cut the material and sew. It isn't difficult and you can create it just the way you want it.
4. Make a stylish 70,s lamp using yogurt cups. Choose the cups in colors you want. String them together with little metal rings and attach to the lamp ring. You can really make a room pop with this and help the enviroment.
5. Make wind whirlies out of soda cans. Just cut them (CAREFULLY- they are sharp) in a twirling pattern, pull on both ends at the same time to stretch them out a bit and hang on you porch using string. They are quite decorative.
