Default Weeping Cherry trees.

If you are looking for a beautiful tree for your yard, this is it. The Weeping Cherry tree blooms in the spring and is absolutely beautiful to see.

Even when it quits blooming, the Weeping Cherry tree is very lovely and quite an addition to your landscaping.

This tree should be planted in the early spring, in a hole slightly larger than the root ball, with as little disturbance to to roots as possible.

Remember that this tree will grow to 20 feet tall, with a circumference of about 40 feet, so plant accordingly.

This tree does really well in zones 4-8 and can survive in zone 3 if it is put in a container and brought in the house during the cold season.

When planting, put fertilizer in the hole before planting, and if the soil you are planting it is is really moist, put gravel in the hole to facilitate drainage.

You must prune this tree because of root stock it was made from. The weeping limbs will grow downward to you must prune away any limbs that grow upward.

The Weeping Cherry Tree is a moisture loving tree so be sure to mulch around it to retain moisture. When mulching around this tree or any other tree, be sure to leave a space between the mulch and the tree of about 6 inches as the mulch may harm the tree if it is actually touching it.

I have never heard of a weeping cherry tree! Do you have any pics of one? Do you have one in your yard? It sounds like it would be beautiful. Do they look like weeping willows?

Oh wow! They are really beautiful. Nope, I don't believe I have ever seen one of these before, at least not that I can remember and if I have, I certainly had no idea what it was. Are these fairly common? I must be living in the dark ages lol! I just may have to get me one of these! Thanks for the pic!

Yes, they do seem to be pretty common in our area these days and they are gorgeous trees. They would be lovely as a focal point for a flower bed.
