Default Hot Weather & Flowers

Keep in mind that while the weather in a lot of areas has been very high, outdoor plants are going to need extra care.

We have had some rain in our area, but that isn't enough to keep plants growing healthy. The hot weather evaporates the water much more, so plants are going to need to be checked and checked often to make sure that they are getting the proper amount of water.

I have even started adding in plant food to the water I have been giving them because they haven't been doing to well. Once I started that in like a week there was a huge improvement in the growth of my flowers.

Of course some flowers depending on what they are, they may not need so much but there are types that will require much more water to make sure that they remain healthy and grow beautifully.

Of course this isn't just for flowers. This also goes for young trees, shrubs, bushes and garden plants as well. Everything is being effected by all of this heat so everything will need a bit of extra care.

You are so right, my houseplants that are now on the deck do require watering more often than in cooler weather.

Just be very careful not to overwater as that can kill them just the same as not enough water.

The grass here is dying so yes watering flower beds right now is also a necessity.

We have gotten a good bit of rain last week but we arent getting enough rain often enough to keep the lawn and outdoor plants healthy.

So do water them but also be aware of any watering restrictions that may apply in your area to avoid a fine.
