Green Thumbs via Technology
New technology is giving those without a green thumb the ability to have a wonderful garden. A new plant sensor is out on the market that tells the gardener what plants will thrive.
A company has created a plant sensor that can tell you exactly what type of plants will survive in your garden. EasyBloom is a USB sensor shaped like a flower that collects all the essential environmental data of a certain spot in your garden within 24 hours of being inserted into the ground.
The sensor analyzes the soil's humidity levels, moisture patterns, temperature, and amount of sunlight an area gets then compares its analysis against a database of more than 5,000 plants, trees, and vegetables to offer you some recommendations. All you have to do then is choose the ones you like, and start planting away. The sensor can also be used as a monitor throughout your plants' life to tell you whether the soil is draining well or if they're getting enough light in that spot.
