Default Flower Gardens

I am really looking forward to how my flower garden is going to turn out this year. I have purchased many different kinds of flowers for it this year. Last year for some reason most of the flowers I chose were pink and yellow. Though this year I made sure to get a nice variety of colors and shapes.

Its going to look really good when I am done and of course when they grow and begin to bloom.

Some of the flowers I got were: Bachelor buttons, cosmos, babys breath, tulips and daylilies.

Those are just some of the flowers that I have and am looking forward to seeing in my garden this year.

Flowers make a huge impression on the exterior of the home, its amazing how just a few flowers can really add color, life and beauty to a home.

So very true!! When we moved here there were no hedges flowers or anything in the yard. Nothing but trees. It was so boring.

We planted lots of things and all the neighbors around here complimented us on the yard. I love a pretty yard!! I love working in the yard, essp once the worst of the pollen is over.

I agree plain yards arent alot of fun and they certainly arent much to look at. Though with a bit of time and effort and a few plants any yard can look beautiful.

Flowers and hedges in a yard not only make those living in the home feel better because of the bright colors and wonderful smells but it also has a great impact on the entire area.

I like to choose flowers of different heighths, textures, colors and shapes. I plant them in a more orderly way but I think having the very different looks makes a flower bed a lot more pretty and interesting.

Unfortunately I am behind this year and I don't have anything started yet. I need to get on the ball!

Flower gardens can be very low maintinace and enjoyable depending on what all you like as for as color and critters that they attract.

I love humming birds and so I like to plant alot of Lantana, and Hybiscus in my flower garden.I like butterflies too,so I make sure to plant some butterfly bushes in there as well.

Next,I love the sound of water so I put a five gallon bucket in a hole in the ground and get a water pump for it and it shoots water out in a short stream and splashes back into the bucket while wisting my flowers around it.

I love my flower garden with it's small water feature and it is very inexpensive to make as well.

Water features are very nice to have. They really add alot of beauty to a home. Though one mistake that alot of people make when it comes to adding a fountain or something like that to their homes is that after a while the stop running the pump and allow the water to just sit there.

This is a very bad idea because then the water becomes stagnant which is breeding grounds for mosquitos. Then you have alot of trouble enjoying quiet evenings outside because of all the misquitos that are breeding in your once lovely fountain, pond or what ever you have.

Its important to keep the water moving in your water feature or make sure that the water is removed and its dry. This also would have to be done after each rain as well to keep water from collecting.

I had this trouble in a pond I had out back of my home. It was horrible. Finally tired of it I drained all of the water out of the pond, scrubbed it clean and then refilled it. I started the pump on the pond and made sure that it never got shut off.

Its a beautiful feature to have, as long as you make sure that it doesnt become a breeding ground for mosquitos as well as other annoying pests.
