Default Fish ponds

I love fish ponds. I have seen Koi in many ponds throughout my life time
and find them to be not only beautiful but calming also. Koi are not goldfish they are a member of the carp family.

They can grow quite large. An average of twenty five to thirty five inches.
You should plan your pond for their growth. You don't want to put in too many of them as they will grow to large eventually.

Koi should be fed twice a day and you should avoid overfeeding them.

When you plan for your pond you should plan it close to your home so that you can protect it from animals that may eat your koi. You should also pick a shady spot so that the water doesn't get overheated.

Koi ponds are very beautiful. I have also seen many people who have them in their ponds. Most have made screens that go over the ponds just below the water so that they are not easily seen and this protects the Koi from becomming dinner for free running animals.
Watching the Koi is quite calming. If I had the room here at my home I would have a pond filled with Koi, and that is where everyone would find me most of the time,LOL.
