Default Different types of Marigolds

Did you know that there is different types of marigolds?

1.Signet, it is spreading and dainty.

2.American marigolds,grow between 10 to 36 inches in height.

3.French marigold, they are smaller, and daintier.

4.Triploid hybrid, that is a combination of the French and American.

I grow marigolds most years and mine get so big that you couldnt turn the plant upside down in a bushel basket. They get huge.

I bought plants one year and then every year I took the seeds from the plants and dried them and stored them away for use the next year.

The plants I bought never got very large, but the ones I planted every year really became ginormous. It seems you get hardier, larger plants when you use the seeds.

I usually plant french ones that are pretty small, but perfect for planters, and look very pretty.

Another one I found is called Lemondrop, that is small, grows 6-9 inches. They look real pretty I am going to try them this year.
