Default Childproof Your Garden

There are many dangers in the garden for children that are easily overlooked. Water gardens are like swimming pools and children can easily drown in them. Sharp gardening tools should be locked up while not in use. Fertilizers can sometimes look yummy and tempt kids to taste. Gardening chemicals can look like kool-aid.

If you have curious children like mine are, you know most of the dangers around your home. But when it comes to the garden there are things easily overlooked, things I know I have overlooked. I hope this can help make your garden more child friendly.

We are pretty child proof here when it comes to gardens and our little pond.

I dont use anything at all on my plants, and they are so healthy and growing so nicely, so I dont have to worry about chemicals around children.

About the only tools that are used here is a shovel to separate and replant the plants that have grown too large, and a good set of willing hands to pull weeds.

Gardening is something that I try to get the little ones interested in, so they will know how to care for vegetable or flower garden properly in the future. And this is precious time to spend with children, and that is so hard to find these days.
