Default All-Year Color

Do you have the wintertime blues yet? I sure do lol. I am so tired of looking at ice and snow. I would much rather see the beautiful sunshine, brightly colored flowers and green grass!

I wish I had taken the time earlier to plant some things that would give a little color in the wintertime. Just a few things to take away some of the doom and gloom that winter brings.

There are lots of things that you can plant so that you have some color in your landscaping in the winter. A couple of them are berries of evergreen and deciduous hollies. You can even plant some trees that have colorful bark such as crape myrtle, red-twig dogwood and yellow-twig dogwood.

I love dogwood trees. I love the flowers they grow and I like that they are smaller trees too. They are pretty easy to care for.

We do not have the snow but I am already tired of the cold weather. I am now looking forward to spring time, and see everything green again. I sure do have the winter time blues big time.
