Daylilies are very easy to care for and will keep coming up year after year. Plus, they are one of the flowers that can be split up and transplanted to wherever you would like.

Hostas are another plant that keeps coming back year after year and can be split when larger to transplant also. Hosta is also a great filler where you want more "green" in your flower beds.

Hostas will develop small white flowers to add to their beauty.

Those are some good plant ideas and here are a few more especially for the south.

Lantana is a bush type plant with small dofferent colored flowers on it and last pretty much all spring and summer long. They attract butterflies and humming birds and they are very easily maintained.

Tiger Lillies are another easily maintained tall green stem and lacy type of big orange or red flower atop of the stem. These last all spring and most of the summer as well.

Of course azealea bushes are proven to grow very easily and in abundance in the south. They are sold in miniature medium and small sizes. They are bloomers only in the early spring, but are green almost all year.
