Default Will the FDIC be helping the jobless with mortgage problems?

Quote:
Some unemployed homeowners at risk for foreclosure could get a temporary break on their mortgage payments under a plan being pushed by the FDIC.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said on Friday it is encouraging certain banks to reduce mortgage payments for the unemployed or underemployed for at least six months.
This would be such a great help to people that are no longer working or have just gotten back to work by giving them a break from or lessening the amount of mortgage payments that would normally be due each month.

Most of the other programs that are available for mortgage problems are not of much help for people that just dont have the money to meet their payments.
