Make up an expense budget. How much do you have to spend on the purchase itself. Then how much do you have to fix it up.

When all of that is taken into account consider how long do you have to make the sale.

If you are looking for a short sale you are probably going to run into trouble. You have to be able to live in the mean time if the sale takes longer than you expected.

There are many things to consider when you decide that house flipping is what you want to do.

Don't jump into it blindly. Get opinions,do the research,set a budget and a time limit. Always think ahead and plan for the unexpected and you will do well.

I agree with both of you. There has been a lot of negativity in the news lately about house flipping. People say that now is not the time to flip and so on. I don't believe that. There is still a lot of money to be had flipping houses. On the other hand, you can lose money fast too. You just have to know what you are doing!
