Default How Does Your State Fair in Foreclosures

I was wondering, in the scheme of things, where does my state stand in the rate of foreclosures? Not very good at all which is what I had thought. I live in Ohio and we have been hit pretty hard with foreclosures and housing problems.

I found this map that actually shows each state and the percentage of foreclosures. Ohio has seen 4.82%. Thats a lot but not nearly what some other states have seen.

The map also shows the unemployment rates in the states. You can see how both seem to go hand in hand. Ohio has been hit hard in the jobs area.

Forget Virginia (where I currently live), I'm moving to North Dakota! Lowest unemployment, lowest foreclosures. It all sounds fabulous until I remember...it's North Dakota.

While the market has been relatively steady in the DC area, I know some parts of the nation are reeling from the high unemployment rates. What a scary time for so many people. Even those folks from North Dakota.

Wow....SC where I live is not doing so good. We live in the country so we haven't noticed much about the foreclosures. But the unemployment we have noticed. Seems like for every job opening there are 3x as many people appling than there was a few years ago.

Looking at the unemployment rates along with the foreclosure rates it is enough to give a person a nightmare.

I only hope that soon things will start getting better for everyone, because we sure can use some good news here soon.

Heaven knows that we all have probably had enough bad news to last us all the rest of our lives. At least I know I sure have.

I also live in Ohio and have seen many people losing their homes because of the unemployment rates. People are jumping on every job that comes available right now because well there are still so many who are unemployed and in need of work.
