Default Housing to recover in 2010?

According to the latest news,
Quote:
The outlook for the home market dimmed this week as residential construction and mortgage applications fell and loan delinquencies reached a record.
There is expected to be a surge in new home sales this coming spring, but as to existing homes, that is another story and its not a particularly good one.

Last week, applications for mortgages fell to a 12 year low. One of the contributing factors is the 26 year high of unemployment.

California is one of the states that is seeing a little recovery in the housing market and hopefully the saying that "What starts in California, sweeps the nation" will hold true in the housing market also.
