Default Coconut Wood

Coconut timber has some great uses from what I have read about for a variety of different things for a home.

Coconut wood can be used for things like walls, flooring, purlins, joists, doors, frames, jalousies and trusses!! This is one wood that does some great things.

The low density wood from the center of the stem is what is used for items that do not bare weights, however the wood from the outter area of the tree is much stronger and suitable for things in the house where it will bare the weight.

Coconut also is great for the manufacturing of furnitures as well. This as I already said is a wood that has many great uses. One of the best reasons to use coconut wood in any home or furniture is that it has a grain that is very appealing to the eye with a natural appearence.

One main problem with the coconut wood as far as I can tell is that if it is not properly stored and air dried the wood can crack or develope fungus which is something no one would want. So proper storage and drying of the wood is a must before it is used.
