30 year mortgage rates have not changed from last week and remain above 5% according to Freddie Mac.
Right now the average rate on a 30 year mortgage remains at 5.07 which is the same rate as last week.
The rate on a 30 year mortgage was at 4.80 a year ago.
Because of the campaign by the Federal Reserve to reduce borrowing costs for consumers, the rate had dropped to 4.71 in December but this ended the last of March, with the Feds leaving the door open to possibly reviving the program.
