Default 30 year mortgage rates havent changed.

With most home loans being a mixed bag, 30 year mortgage rates havent changed this week.

Freddie Mac said Thursday that the 30 year mortgage rates averaged 6.52 percent for the week ending August 7th. With the rate not having changed for the last two weeks, that makes the second highest rate of the year with the highest being 6.63 percent.

Now that credit is harder to come by, most people are finding it harder to finance home or car purchases.

With more foreclosures causing an influx of more homes being piled on the list of ones already on the market, and new homes not being built, its having a real negative effect on the economy.
