There are alot of different things that people are looking for when they are shopping for a new home.

Some of those things your home may have or may not have. Most buyers are looking for storage space, number of bedrooms, yard space, bathroom space and homes that are in good condition.

If your selling a home that does not have a decent amount of storage space, you may want to consider adding in a closet here or there where there may be some wasted space. As well as adding in maybe a storage shed outside.

If you have converted a bedroom in the house into an office or any other use, be sure to revert it back to a bedroom before attempting to sell the home.

Now when it comes to yard space, this is something that is almost impossible to fix. Though there are several ways to create great landscaping with out taking up alot of the yard.

Bathrooms are another issue with alot of buyers. If your home has a small bathroom, you may want to consider increasing the size of it if at all possible. Of course also having more than one bathroom in the home is another plus when it comes to selling a home.

Now when it comes to the condition of the home, its a good idea to have it inspected so that you will know if there are any issues with the home and can show the buyers that you have gone the extra step in selling your home.

Making sure that everything in the home is in workable condition is a plus also. Anything such as broken light fixtures, railings, faucets and so on are things that should be repaired prior to selling your home.

The more you do to your home to make improvements the better your chances are of selling your home quickly rather than having it sit empty.

When I look for a home to buy or rent for that matter, I look at the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. I like larger rooms. I have lived in homes with small bathrooms and bedrooms and I hated them.

A lot of people want a master suite rather than just a master bedroom. They want the large walk-in closet and a bathroom as well. Some people won't even consider the house if it doesn't have these to offer.

I don't have a walk-in or a bathroom in my bedroom and I really wish that I did!
