Default Staging, making it work.

When staging your home for sale, there are things that you definitely should do and below are a list of those staging do's.

First of all, you have to make potential buyers want to come in the house, and to do this, the outside has to be neat and clean. Power wash the siding, make sure the lawn is cut, and even painting the front door can make a big difference in the outside appearance of your home.

Inside your home, get rid of everything that takes away from the neat orderly look that you want. For instance, put away knickknacks, get rid of newspapers, store mail away where it wont be seen. Also shoes, coats, etc should be out of sight.

Other things that should be put away include personal pictures, statues etc. Keep it simple is a good rule of thumb when staging to sell.

Use lighting to your advantage as it makes your home seem more spacious. And, if you have big clunky furniture, opt for rental furniture. You want each room to seem large and spacious.

You are so right flippinout! First impressions mean everything when it comes to house flipping. If the outside of the house isn't tidy and clean looking people won't even bother seeing the inside. As far as the inside goes, keep it neat and clean. Just have a few decorative items here and there.

Great advice flippinout!
