Default Spring Cleaning

Well thankfully Spring is almost here finally. I know that I sure am looking forward to it other than the chance of flooding. Any how its time to prepare ourselves for the spring cleaning that should be done every year.

Spring cleaning is and has always been a huge pain in the butt, but it is something that really does need to be done every year. I dont know about you but it is nice to see the bottem of the closets at least once a year,LOL.

A good rule when it comes to Spring cleaning to that if you havent used something or worn something with in the last six months then it is pretty safe to say that it wont be getting used any time soon and can be gotten rid of.

Now this rule does not apply to things like fishing gear, camping equipment and other things such as that. That is because those items
dont get used a whole lot during certain times of the year.

Also if you find that you have a ton of stuff that you dont use and dont wear, you can hold yourself a yard sale to make yourself a little bit of spending cash.

Though this is hard for some people to do because it is yet another pain and takes days out of your schedule.

If this sounds like you then take those items that your getting rid of and donate them to places like the Salvation Army, Goodwill and local churches.

They will either sell or give the items away to those who are in need, and help you to clean out your house all at the same time and get rid of all that clutter you have hanging around.

I do not even want to think about Spring cleaning..LOL I hate housework, I had rather be in the yard any day..LOL

But you are right it is time to think about it. The thing I love about it you can open the windows and air the house out after all the cold winter weather is over. The house gets so stuffy in the winter.

Yes I agree, I hate being closed up inside all of the time in the winter, but there is no other choice unless you want to sit outside and freeze to death,LOL.

I like being in the yard as well. There are always little things that you can do outside to make a big difference to the look and feel of your home.

Though as I said before spring cleaning is also important as you can get rid of alot of clutter that is just taking up space in your home, and I prefer to see the floor to our closets at least one time per year,LOL.

If, instead of a yard or garage sale, you decide to donate your belongings to the Salvation Army or whatever, be sure to make a list of what you are giving and get a reciept for it all as it is tax deductible.

Its also a good idea while you are doing the closets, check to see if there are any clothes hanging in your closet that need washed.

What doesnt need to be washed can be refreshed by tossing them in the dryer with a dryer sheet for a few minutes.

Put away all winter clothing and boots at this time, making sure to clean all before doing so.

My favorite thing about spring cleaning is that I can open up all of my windows and air the house out while I take everything off the walls and shelves to be cleaned and dusted and then put back.

I take my curtains down and wash them all and put them back up wet and let the hang and air dry.I clean the insides and outsides of my window while I have the curtains down.

Then I clean my closets and under all my furniture and stuff out so that I can clean my carpets.I find this a perfect time to do this because you are letting more light in your home and trying to brighten up your home.

This is just a few things that I do for my spring cleaning, what do you do?

MARCH 20TH! Spring will be here! yay! That makes me deliriously happy!

My favorite part about Spring too is to be able to open up all of my doors and windows, see the sunshine coming through and smell the fresh flowers growing! Mmmm I love it!

My least favorite part is the cleaning that has to be done but thats okay. Spend a couple of weeks scrubbing up the house and all is well for a while!

I just can't wait until the very last little piece of snow has melted away! I am so tired of snow!!!
