The thing about adding the final touches to a space is to make sure that it is appealing to all different sorts of people with different tastes and also to make it a functional space as well.

When people walk in to view a house they need to see enough finishing touches to give it appeal but not so much that they can't see their own personal effects there. You have to make them believe that the house was just made for them and their tastes.

The way to do that is to choose more neutral colors for the walls, not boring but not bold either. Also don't paint the walls of every room in the house the same color. Thats boring and they will notice it. You can use throw rugs, pillows, wall art and candles to give rooms a little pop without making it overbearing.

Don't forget to keep the rooms functional at the same time. They need to see the rooms used for what they were intended.
