Default Seasonal decorations as staging

This is something that I have been quite curious about. If the home you are trying to sell is empty, do you still add a few seasonal decorations to pique the interest of the potential buyer?

Im not talking about putting up a Christmas tree, just a few things around the home in keeping with the season, perhaps a nice wreath on the door and maybe a spray on the mantle piece.

Give your opinions on this subject please, as I said, Im rather curious as to whether or not this is the proper thing to do.

I think tomorrow I will go look at a house that is for sale in a town near us and see for myself if holiday decorations are used at all in any way during the sales period for homes.

Does any of you know if they are or not?
