Instead of just clicking on the garage door opener when you come home, you can click the radio-controlled lighting switch to come on inside the house also. This edge-cutting product is called the Verve Living system and is made by the Masco Corporation.
This lighting requires no wires and can be installed anywhere in the home. Also, the brightness can be adjusted to suit the homeowners and can significantly save electricity.

Verve relies on a unique technology developed by European manufacturer EnOcean, a spin-off of Siemens Corporation and is a breakthrough in energy-harvesting, radio frequency science. EnOcean engineers discovered a way to gather energy from the simple act of clicking a switch -- energy that can be used to transmit a small, compact radio signal wirelessly and at astonishing speeds. The little transmissions from a clicker sends instructions through a ten-channel controller to lighting fixtures and outlets throughout the house.

What an innovative system for lighting homes. I think it would be great to be able to come home and before I even get through the door, have certain lights on. I think this would help to provide a certain measure of safety to homeowners. Also, the fact that it reduces the cost of building a home is great.
