Default Paint Precautions

If your planning on staging your home then taking careful precautions when painting to prevent spills or other mistakes are a must.

The last thing that you want to do is end up spilling a gallon on paint all over the place or end up painting the windows by accident.

I suggest that if you going to be staging your home that you use drop cloths to cover the flooring in the room that your preparing to paint. Also the use of painters tape is also a good idea. This keeps the paint from ending up on your trim, windows and other places it isn't supposed to be.

Painting is in my opinion a fun activity to do, though at the same time it can also be seriously messy and even worse when your not careful.

I have spilled paint before and let me tell you I was seriously lucky it was not on a carpeted floor. It took me hours to finally get that bad mess completely cleaned up.

So take my advice if your painting your home make sure that you take the time to prep the room before you start.

Default Re: Paint Precautions

Painting is one of the fastest, and easiest ways to change the look of your room, and it can also, if you use the right colors make a room look larger.

So, as you said, take the necessary precautions to protect your wood work and floors and furniture from any drips or spills.

There are so many handy products out there to help you protect from spills etc. And the painters tape is one of the best. As opposed to masking tape that we used to use to protect the woodwork etc, the painters tape comes off much easier and doesnt leave any sticky residue that needs to be cleaned off.
