There are a lot of ways in which lighting can help. Changing a ceiling fan in the dining room for a nice chandelier can be a big improvement and makes the room more elegant.

Outdoor lighting can show off the house at night and also the landscaping around the house.

Default Outdoor lights

I think outdoor lighting is essential. Alot of people are looking at security now.If there are already lights setup for this alone people are set to feel secure from the moment they move in.

We installed a motion detector light above the door we mainly use to access the house. No more getting out the old cigarette lighter to find the key hole, and no more tripping over toys etc.

Default Interior adn exterior lighting.

My husband and I have recently improved the outdoor lighting around our home as well. It to helps with not fumbling for keys and since we live out in the country there are wild animals in and around the surrounding woods and with a recent bear sighting ( Yes I said bear ) I wanted extra lighting for safety reasons as well.

Outside lights are a must, even in our small town, because we are surrounded by woods, we have to be able to see at night. We have coyotes that come pretty close to the houses at night and as flip4u said, a bear sighting.

Then there are the dogs people drop off. You never know if they are mean or not.

Correct thohome and flipinout, many wild and not so wild things move around at night Coyotes, bears, bob cats, dogs, and even people. I think security is the big key even for those who live in the city must think safety first as well as being creative and decorative for the outdoor living spaces.

Yes I agree. It feels refreshing to have a new paint on your room and also for a change. I am now planning of removing my ceiling fan and replace it with a simple chandelier. I think I will purchase one from Hinkley Home Lighting. I saw their site and the items are really great. Hope I can get discounts!
