Default Furniture Placement

When it comes to staging your home, its very important that you arrange the furniture so that no one will need to step over or practically trip over anything.

Make sure that there is a clear walk way throughout the entire home. If need be remove a few pieces of furniture so that this is possible.

The last thing that you would want to happen while someone is touring the house is for someone to trip over something, or accidently wack a shin off something (I am sure everyone has done this and knows it never feels very good).

My living room was quite crowded and didnt look very nice. By removing just two small pieces of furniture from the room, I was able to move everything around to not only make it look so much more beautiful but easy to walk through as well. This also opened up the room more and made the room look even larger than before.

Rooms that have to much furniture in them have a feeling of being closed in and this isnt something you want those touring the home to feel. Having a room that is easily walked through is what you want. It gives the home a nice flowing feeling.

Less is more when it comes to staging. You definitely don't want to make any room look crowded. Things should be spaced and efficient. That applies to the decor, furniture and everything else in between.

True, you can over do things. Sometimes less is better. I do not like a crowded room, and most people don't. Make it look nice and homey!
