Expert Staging Tips for Home Selling
I was reading an article that talked about ten expert tips for getting a house sold at top dollar. They were pretty good tips so I thought I'd share them.
Clutter in a house is not going to help you get it sold and certainly not for your asking price. Get your own personal effects out of the house. That includes family photos and odds and ends such as excessive knick-knacks. It's fine to have some art work but keep it to a minimum.
The outside of the house is the first thing that buyers will see. So get that battered front door a fresh coat of paint or replace it.
You also want to remove throw rugs and couch throws if you have a lot of them. It's great to have one or two in each room to give the house a warmer feeling but there is such a thing as too much. It can look as if you are trying to cover a blemish up.
House plants really do a lot for any house, any room. Just one here and there. You don't want too many, it will look like a jungle.
