Even if you are trying to sell a house you can decorate it for the season. You just want to be sure to not overdo it. Add a few things here and there to give the house a touch of the holiday.
There are a lot of easy things that you can do without costing you an arm and a leg. Here are a couple of simple ideas.
Salt Dough Ghosts

These are really simple and cheap to make. You can make them as big or small as you want which is another plus. All you need is: 1 cup Flour, 1 cup salt, 1/2 cup water, a bowl, wooden spoon and a fine point permanent black marker. Mix up the salt, flour and water in the bowl. Stir it until it is smooth. Divide the dough into as many ghosts as you want to make. Shape it into ghosts flattening the bottoms so that they will stand up. Place two ghosts at a time on a microwave safe plate and cook them on high at 20 to 30 second intervals (up to 2 minutes) until they are firm. Allow them to cool well, they will be hot. Last, draw on the eyes and mouth with the marker.
Acorn Pumpkins

These make a really cute centerpiece for the table inside of a small basket or glass plate.
What you need is: acorns, acrylic orange paint, brown acrylic paint and a fine tipped permanent black marker. Remove the caps from the acorns. Paint them all over with the orange paint. Paint on stems at the top using the brown paint. Once the paint is completely dry you can draw on the pumpkin faces using the marker.
