Default Cleaning Ceiling Fans

If your staging a home then cleaning the home's ceiling fans is a must. Ceiling fans collect a whole lot of dust and debris when used. This means that they get quite nasty and quickly and require a good cleaning!

Here is one method for cleaning a ceiling fan, though I do not recommend using this method. After watching the video I am sure that you will be laughing, but also lets face the fact its not the best way to clean a ceiling fan.

Now here is a better method for cleaning the ceiling fans in your home and this method I recommend more than the previous one. Also did anyone else notice that this dog did not really appreciate being used as a fan duster??LOL.

Basically you simply shut off power to the ceiling fan. Remove the bulbs and the shades. Then remove the blades of the fan and wash everything throughly in warm soapy water. Allow to dry and then of course just put it all back together and there ya go. A nice clean ceiling fan.

You can purchase a ceiling fan duster from places like Walmart and they work great. We have two ceiling fans and in the winter we burn wood and coal for heat. Well that makes everything dusty. The ceiling fan duster only takes a second to use. You don't need a ladder or anything. Makes it really nice.

I agree those ceiling fan dusters are really nice to have, but I have seen many times that people tend to ignore their ceiling fans when they are cleaning and then they end up becoming black instead of white. You know what I mean.

They ignore them so long that there is no way a duster is going to get them clean and that is when they need to be taken apart and cleaned well with soapy water.

I have cleaned some ceiling fans for friends before and when I was taking them down and started cleaning them I really had to scrub them because they were so bad.

When they get that bad a duster just isn't going to cut it. However if you clean it well and then use the dusters often then they will work just fine.
