Default What goes with pink brick??

Hi all and thanks for this great resource.

Were looking at a flip prospect but the only thing is this house IMO lacks curb appeal because it has a pinkish colored brick.

The price is right and it's otherwise a nice house but would it be a hard sell because of the color issue?

Any idea's on what colors should be use for gutters and garage door that would make this color of brick more attractive or would you just walk away from this?

I would suggest White. White and pink are pretty together. I would not let the color detour me from a great deal.

I have seen pink and white house that were really pretty, as long as it is not a hot pink..lol

Thanks for the vote of confidence on this Eyeofngt.

Not hot pink (lol), but subtle pink.

As it is right now the accent is a deep maroon so your suggestion of white sounds really good and at least white is a neutal color right?

I'm very happy hearing your input.
My color choices alway seem to turn out terrible and maybe the house looked 'wrong' just because the accent color was too much.

Here is a picture of a house with Pink brick siding. Assuming this is about the color you are talking about, I will give you ideas on how to dress it up.

I agree with white on the garage door and the front door of the house.

You might try Chocolate for the shutters, railings and arch.

The eaves and soffit could be done in Light Kahki.

Let me look around and see what other color schemes I can come up with for your task.

Great visual Flippinout.

It's one thing for me to have a image in my mind on the intended look but quite another to see it in reality.
Thank you for giving me proof on what that look will be.(I do like it)

That is the exact color I'm refering to and the white looks way better than marroon IMO.

Only difference is the house you posted (nice BTW) shows light colored shingles where the house in question has almost wood colored ones.
I don't know if that would be a factor or not but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Things are looking better and better already due to the input received.
I appreciate you guys sharing your experience and expertise in this.
Truly it's a gift (one I don't possess) to have the talent to know what colors go well together.

Best regards.

I think that a light colored gray shingle would go well on this house. Its a neutral color also and would make for a light, airy look all around.

I think it would be the perfect topper for the job.

My parents use to own a pink brink home, they just had white gutters, and shutters, and planted mostly green shrubs in the front of the house, it sure loked real nice, and the value was 80,000 and that was many years ago.

Great responses.Thank you.

Unfortunately the shingles/roof looks to be almost new so it will have to stay but I agree with you Flippinout that the light color grey shingle would go great with this brick.

Luv2flip, great point on how I could add color and curb appeal with the use of shrubs and maybe even a few hanging plants or ivy on lattice.

Come to think of it there isn't one shrub in the whole yard.
Maybe this along with no color from the lawn yet (Michigan) made a dismal 1st impression on me.

I see from Flippinout's photo that the foilage works very well against the pink brick and the white accent makes the greenery stand out all the better.

Awesome tips and ideas guys.
I really expected negative comments but that hasn't been the case at all.
Sounds hopeful.

For sure you gotta do white trim and such or maybe cream. You would want to stick with something lighter rather than dark. I can't think of any other colors that would be better.

I would definitely add some different shades of flowers in the flower beds as well. You don't have to go with only pink or white. Add lots of colors to break up the monotony of the pink brick.

Envisioning it already and I'm actually starting to like what I have pictured.
Flowers with some deep colors like violet seems like a good and economical idea that might transform boring and ordinary into vibrant and exciting.

Great stuff.
