Everyone enjoys being able to go out on the patio and enjoy the sunshine. So having a patio can really boost the appeal of your home to buyers. A very simple an inexpensive way to add a patio is to use flagstones.

It's good practice to gather some hand-picked stones and lay them near the site. Paul tries to imagine which stones will go where. By envisioning how the stones will look before he places them, he'll have to move each only once. Although the process doesn't require a lot of skill, it helps to have a good eye for which stones will look best in a particular location.

I really thought this was a neat idea. You could get the stones at nearby creeks and streams and they wouldn't cost a dime. With a little work you could create a really nice outside retreat.
