Default Still Much To Do

For all the things I wanted to get done at my other half's place, I managed to get a good bit done, but still not even close to being done.

The curb appeal at his place is like, well there just isn't anything really. I got the weeds out of the flower beds, planted some flowers, trimmed some trees, of course keeping the grass cut, but there are still so many things yet to do.

I need to get the front porch painted and that means removing the peeling paint first, there is an area in his yard that is over grown berry bushes, grape vines and various weeds. I want to get this area cleaned out!! I am hoping to save the berry bushes and maybe the grape vines, but other than that I wanna get that mess cleaned out and see some grass growing there.

I know that will mean more work when it comes time to cut the grass, but it sure will look a whole lot better!

Something else that we need to get figured out and possibly checked is finding where his property ends in the back yard. There are no markers and he really isn't sure just where it ends. I need to find this out before I get back there and doing a bunch of work. I am not clearing out someone elses property if I don't have to. Plus I don't wanna deal with trespassing issues.

I also want to get his front porch steps replaced as well as get a new concrete poured to repair the old one. These few things are gonna be a whole lot of work, but they are also going have a huge impact on the appearence of his place.

It sure does sound like you have a bunch of stuff to do! You are going to busy all summer long with all of those plans.

It's nice and kind of stress relieving to do outside work though, at least I think so.

Just take your time and don't over do it out in the heat.

It is all going to keep me busy throughout the summer, but that is fine with me. I enjoy working outside and I love to see things improving as the work gets done.

Then when the work is done you can enjoy the knowledge that you did it and how great it looks. That is what I am looking forward to. I never overdo it when working in the heat. I take many breaks and make sure to drink a lot of water. I don't wanna end up sick and not able to do what needs to be done.

Though I swear I wish I had a magic wand to get it all done much faster. Now that would be nice. Skipping all the hard work and go straight to enjoying it all.

Just think, you get it all done this summer then next summer there won't be nearly as much to do and you will be able to enjoy it all more. It sounds like all you will have to do next year is keep the lawn mowed. Other than that you can sit outside and enjoy what you accomplished this summer.

That is a lot to do, my best advice is to take your time, do not over do it, remember your health comes first. It also seems like when you get in a hurry it gets sloppy, and does not look as good as it should.
