Default Started My Flower Beds

It was a gorgeous day today outside and I was able to get out and enjoy some of it getting my flower beds ready. I haven't picked out any flowers yet. I am talking about my annual beds. I will definitely do some petunias and impatients but I haven't decided what else yet.

I was able to get most of them all weeded out and I turned the top soil as I always do. I am really looking forward to flower shopping. I loove flowers. They make a house look so much more inviting and pretty.

I have already picked out little plastic fencing that I want to use this year. I had always used flat rocks to edge my flower beds because I like the more natural look but this fencing is absolutely cute. It's really flexible too so it will be easy to work with.

I picked up two of these solar lights as well. They hang on shepards hooks that are just two feet high. They look great in the beds and will be even better once I get the flowers planted.

Solar lights on shepherd hooks? Never heard of them till now but they are adorable.

I really like these a lot better than the ones I have which you just shove in the ground. These ones are so much nicer and would clear some of the taller growing plants, which mine dont.

Kudos on your flower bed, and I bet it will be lovely when done.

I did the same thing today, went to walmart and got some rolls of landscaping paper and started laying it down and putting some fertilizer and potting soil on top of it.

Then I planted some Lantana and Hybiscus with some daisies and Hosta in between. There will be so much color there when it all fills in and blooms.I will have butterflies and humming birds all in my yard.

I put some trumpet vines up around the front and back porches this is also loved by both butterflies and humming birds.

I will take pictures when it fills in some.

My flower garden is growing nicely, and I also have placed solar lighting all though the garden to light it beautifully in the night.

I love gardening, its relaxing, very rewarding and really makes a home feel warm and inviting.

The solar lights are really pretty!! You can get them now most anyplace that sells garden supplies.

I have mine on sheperd hooks and I love them.

If you are on a budget you can find these on QVC or HSN and most of time they have them on easy pay. where you do not have to pay for them all at one time.
