Default Spray Wash Siding

Wintertime can take a toll on your vinyl or aluminum siding. Cleaning siding can be a major task with a bucket and scrub brushes. I have done it this way before and if you have too then you know it is no party!

The fastest and easiest way to get it clean is to use a pressure washer. A pressure washer will blast away all of the mold and muck that winter has left behind.

Now that the weather is getting better it is a great time to get it done.

You can rent pressure washer's from many different places that rent out equipment. I live in quite a small town and there are two places here that rent them out. The cost and time that you are allowed with the equipment varies from store to store.

All you really need is a garden hose and some soap and the washer. You can even buy special soap specifically for cleaning siding.

Having clean siding will make a big difference in the impression that the house gives from the outside.

This is something that I do every spring as we live right on the main road and the ashes they put down in the winter time causes an awful lot of dust.

Granted, spraying with just a regular water hose helps a lot but to do a really thorough job, a pressure washer does a great job.

It will remove the mold as you say and the bird droppings etc that end up on the side of your house.

The pressure washer is also great for sidewalks, the driveway (if paved) and for use on your deck.

I like to go and rent a pressure washer to do the exterior of my hime every spring. It works alot betrter and faster than a water hose. You can also hook a bottle of bleach to the pressure washer and choose how much bleach you want to mix with the water and spray the water and bleach together.Bleach really does a good job getting of and killing and molds and mildews.

It takes less water normally than a water hose, and the water and bleach leave a clean surface behind.

Another thing that I like to do once I have pressure washed my home,I get some Diazanon and spray it around the exterior of my home and I do this once a month. It is a pesticide and it keeps spiders,wasps,dirtdobbers,etc... from making themseves at home on your eaves and overhangs and porches. It works very well for me and last all month long.

I have to use pesticides around the outside of my house too. We tend to get centipedes and millipedes in our house if I don't use the spray. Our house is pretty well shaded and we are located practically on top of a creek so our house always has moisture.

We mostly get the centipedes and such in the basement but every once in a while I will see one on the main floor and they make me almost pee my pants. I am like deathly afraid of them lol. I am aweful.

One time years ago (before we started spraying) I was sitting in the livingroom chair with the kids and my husband when I felt something through the sleeve of my shirt. I looked down and it was a centipede. I jumped up, screamed and immediately ripped my shirt off! It all happened in like half a second! I cannot imagine the sight I made. I am sure I looked like an @ss! They all started laughing at me. I was ready to cry rofl!

So these days I keep up on my pesticide spraying lol!
