Default Picnic Table

I have been working on my yard lately and my neighbor gave us a picnic table they got from a friend that needed alot of TLC.

Well I can never say "no" when someone wants to give me something for free.

I thought my hubby was going to scream at me for getting yet another thing for free but... he didn't.

Yesterday we worked on it for about 3 hours. We had to totally rip it apart and redo the entire table. It is not done yet. We need to get some more screws and a couple of pieces of wood yet.

But it is coming along really well. I am so excited about it. I have always wanted one. It really does complete my yard. It is going to be so nice when it is done.

We have reinforced it to make it really sturdy to last for a long time. When it is done, I am going to paint it a different color. Not the red stain that is on it now. I like to be different.

When it is complete, I will try to take a picture of it and post it. I am just so happy because it makes my yard look 10 times more hommie and I am not going to have that much money invested in it.

This is the perfect time to have a picnic table also. It will be perfect for when you decide to grill outside, or host a small outdoor party at your home.

At my home we have a small round wooden table kind of like a picnic table, and it too is in need of some work and of course it is also in need of a new coat of paint as well.

There are so many things here we both want to get done, that it is almost overwhelming.

Though when it comes to things like this you just have to take your time and get it all done right the first time.

Good luck with your new picnic table and I hope that you get many many years of happy use out of it.

It is nice that you have alot of stuff to do. I bet it keeps you on your toes. It's always nice to stay busy and have a list of stuff to do. If I didn't, I would go out of my mind.

Update on picnic table. It is done. I went out and bought some bright yellow paint and painted it. Then I painted a peace sign on both ends of the table. I used white paint for the center of the peace sign and brown paint to draw and outline it.

Columbus took a chance, and so did I. LOL!!! I love it. Everyone around my mobile home looked at it and loved it. I only have about $25.00 invested in it and, it should last us many years.

That is great to hear. I am glad that your picnic table came out perfectly. Sounds like it is beautiful. Are you able to post a pic of it so that we can see it also?
