Default Our Side Yard Completed

This was just completed a couple of days ago. I think that it came out beautifully.

The only thing that was in the side yard of our home was a lilac bush and the grape vine which my sweetie has been growing for many years.

I thought that it needed a little something more, so we went shopping. After looking at all kinds of stuff that we could put into the yard, we both decided that a well decoration would fit perfectly there.

This as you can see is the end result of our hard work, and it really paid off. Everyone in the neighborhood loves it, and so do we.

I filled the well with sand which we just had laying around doing nothing. Then I spray painted the sand a blue to give the illusion of there being water in the well. It came out really nice, I think.

We still have alot of work to do on the yard, but slowly it is looking better and better.

We proably wont get everything we wanted done this year to the yard, because we are also at the same time making renovations to the interior of our home. This takes up most of our time.

Hopefully by next summer everything we have been wanting to accomplish will finally be done.

At least we are hoping so,LOL.

Making changes like this to our home not only makes our home look better but it will also increase the value of our home as well as the value of our neighborhood. This is another reason we have been doing what we can in spare time to make some much needed changes to the exterior of the home.

These simple things we have been doing in our yard like planting flowers, placing stepping stones through the yard and so on will only increase the value which is always a good thing to do and it will make it much more enjoyable to sit outside and relax.

I do love it. I also placed this picture as the desktop of my computer. It is my most favored spot in the yard right now.

Though we are also in the process of putting in a small pond out back. We were going to put Koi in the pond, but there are so many people who own cats around here that just allow them to roam freely. So this idea was scratched.

I know we are putting in the pond anyway, because we already purchased it. Though we dont know if we will be putting anything into it, or just leave it with the fountain in it.

I cant wait til this project is done. I know it is going to look nice, and of course it is going to be relaxing to just sit outside and listen to the water moving along.

There are just so many things that we are wanting to get done around the house as well as inside the house. Though it all takes time, patience and of course money.

Though slowly we are accomplishing everything we are wanting to do, one thing at a time.

We were going to put the pond in this weekend, but the weather is supposed to be horrible so that has been postponed. Instead I am getting my kitchen cabinets done, which is something I have been wanting to do for a while now.

Its all good, when we cant work outside our home, there are always things inside that we can work on.LOL.
