Default Grass Cutting

Yesterday my sweetie's Mom called me. She is quite ill right now and her husband is having to work many extra hours at work and neither are able to cut their grass.

So she called me to ask if I would do it for them because I also cut the grass at my sweeties place. Of course I agreed to do it, so hopefully tomorrow the weather will stay nice so I can get it all done.

This got me thinking about how many people right next door to ourselves are having a hard time and may not be able to get out there and do it themselves! It doesn't take a whole lot of time really to cut grass ( yes I know it depends on the size of the property), but still it doesn't take forever and it is some good exercise so hopefully if you know someone who is having a difficult time that you will take the little extra time and help them out with a nice cut lawn!!

They will appreciate it and you will feel good about it too!

Well I did manage to get her grass cut on Saturday, but my old man's grass had to wait a few days while I recovered!!!

I seriously didn't think that I would have to cut the hills around her place also!!

My legs were so sore afterwards that I could barely walk!! I do enjoy helping people out and I would cut her grass again but I would also force her son (my old man) to help as well because there is just really to much to cut for one person.

They do have a riding mower but I don't know how to use them so I simply used the push mower and I guarentee that I got my work out in that day easily. It took me about 6 hours to cut her grass, her yard is that big!!

It has been hard to keep up with so far this Spring with all of the rain.

We have a lot to cut plus it's mostly hill. Most of it has to be done with a weed eater and it takes a long time to get done.

I do enjoy it though. I mow what I can with the mower and my husband uses the weed eater.

You got that right! Team work is the best way to go!

Whats nice is my son is old enough now to help out too.

On the downside we went from nothing but rain.... literally weeks of rain to scorching temperatures above 90 degrees. Still not exactly ideal grass cutting weather.

On top of that now I work everyday until next Monday. So there is no way i am going to get any grass cutting done!

It's getting high too. It really does need done. I am hoping for slightly cooler temperatures over the next couple of days so that my husband and son can get it done. It takes about two days to get all of it done. It's a lot of grass and with it being so high it will be worse than usual.

I need to throw a grass cutting party lol!
