Default Carefully Plan Landscapes

I have to say that if your getting ready to create a beautiful yard with the use of plants, shrubs, fountains or any other kind of decor then you need to carefully plan out the design.

I say this because my sweetie, bless his heart planted a beautiful rose bush in his yard along with pampas grass.

These look really nice in his yard but when he was planting this stuff he didn't carefully think it through and how it grows. He planted the rose bush on one side of his porch steps and the pampas grass on the other.

Now you can barely see his steps and of course if your not careful the thorns of the rose bush will scratch you.

I have since then at least tied the rose bush back so that it is no longer a problem, and I have cut back the grass as well so that the steps to the porch are easily seen and used.

However I have plans for some time this fall to move these plants to another area of the yard where they will easily be seen yet at the same time they will not be in the way.

Anything that your wanting to do in your yard to increase your curb appeal, make sure that you plan it out carefully so that you won't have to deal with these kinds of problems later on down the road.

homealone, do you have a picture of the pampas grass? I have areas in my front yard that I'd love to fill with a big ball of grass, even something with a nice feathery plume. I'll take your advice and keep them away from walkways, but do they need full sun? The areas I'm looking to fill in are in shady areas. Thanks!

Here is a picture of Pampas Grass.

The flowers or plumes come in white, pink, rose, and purple. Pampas grass grows to 8 to 10 feet in height although there is a dwarf plant available.

This grass requires full sunlight.
