Default Backyard Retreats

Everyone should have a backyard retreat of some sort I think. It's a place for you to go to unwind, relax, gather your thoughts and just be after a long day. It's a place that can be enjoyed alone or with others.

A backyard retreat can be simple or elaborate. You don't have put a lot of money into it for it to be beautiful.

It should have your favorite outdoor things such as plants, furniture, sculptures and water features. You may also want bird feeders or bushes that attract butterflies. Whatever brings you a sense of calmness and joy.

A house that can provide those things to a future owner will appeal to househunters. Your tastes may not be the same as theirs but they will see the potential in already having a designated space.

Default Re: Backyard Retreats

Back yard retreats, be it an area like the one shown or your back deck are so much a need resource at your home just to allow you to have somewhere private to just go and sit and relax away from everyone and everything.

I like the area in the picture you posted. The trees and shrubbery around the outside of the fencing will muffle any noises that may come from a street or a neighbors house and will also make the area even more private.

Plus the added safety feature of the fence is a plus especially when you have children. Installing a gate on an area like this one would also be a great safety feature where there are children.
