Area Curb Appeal
Personally through out most of my life I never gave much thought to curb appeal. It was just some homes look better than others.
Now of course as I got older that all changed. More recently then ever. I have been working my butt off getting my old man's place looking better.
Now his place wasn't bad, but there were no flowers, the grass needed cut, the porch needed painted and a few more little things.
I did the painting, I cut the grass and lately I have been planting a variety of flowers out front and along the sides of his porch to spruce things up a bit.
I planted some daisies, bleeding hearts, bachlor buttons, and some star gladiolus. I know it is a huge difference between flowers but the way I put them into small gardens I think it is going to make it look interesting and a whole lot better.
I also have been planting flowers at his mothers place as well. She really likes her place looking good but due to the fact she is still recovering from surgery she had a while ago, I have been taking care of the things she needs and wants done like getting her flowers planted.
All of this will also make the neighborhood look much better also! A bright, beautiful, cheery home is going to make the entire area look good. Where these run down, empty, crappy homes make the appeal of the neighborhood look bad.
