Default Walls coverings and cheap ideas.

I got a brilliant idea from a magazine the other day. The article I saw
had walls done in both paint and wallpaper. You lay down the base color
you are going to use and the lay wallpaper in stripes the opposite direction that you normally would.

It was very interesting looking. The room also had other walls colored in the same color only darker versions. I liked this idea and thought I have
several different colors of paint left over from previous projects.

I have a toasted coconut and a yellow which I like to call mac and cheese
yellow. I am thinking of using them in my bathroom. I haven't decided how
to place them yet. I think that the contrast will add a certain appeal to
that room.

I am going to save some of the old wallpaper that is on the walls now and
frame it. This will keep the shiny fish themed paper in the bathroom. I have always liked it and can't find anymore of it. What do you guys think of my idea.

I'm trying to picture what you mean......I think I have the general idea, but it would help if you could scan the picture and post it for us to see.

I like the idea of the different colors. This can really make some of the room's features pop. If what I'm picturing in my head is what you have in mind, I think it's a great idea.
