Default Wallpaper Fans

Wallpaper fans are beautiful in any room. My Grandmother taught me how to make them and with the selections there are of wallpapers out there along with some really beautiful lace, you can create great wall decorations for any room in your house.

She started off with some wallpaper in the colors and patterns that she wanted. She would fold the wallpaper like an accordion. Making sure that the first and last folds face the back of the wallpaper as you do not want these sticking out from the wall when you go to hang them.

Then once the wallpaper has been folded and creased nicely, break out the lace that you have chosen and your hot glue gun. Begin glueing the lace onto the sides and top of the wallpaper fan. Be sure not to stretch out the lace while glueing it to the fan. Lace tends to want to stretch and this will make it look funny when finished, so make sure that you do not pull tightly on the lace while glueing it around the fan.

Next step is to staple the bottem of the fan together. This of course will give your fan it's fan shape. Once you have the bottem of the fan ( the one with out the lace) stapled together it's time to break out your artifical flowers. Choose a color that will accent the fan and pull off the flowers and a few of the leaves. Glue these to the bottem of the fan to cover up where it has been stapled and of course this also attracts the eye to this great wall decoration.

Then if you wish you can also weave in and glue some ribbon to the fan though make sure that the ends of the ribbon are hidden behind the flowers.

This is a really beautiful way to use wallpaper and to decorate your home.
