Default Wall hangings.

I thought that you could use a themed blanket as a wall hanging. This would be great in a kids room. If they want a jungle theme you could use one with a lion on it and then decorate the rest of the room accordingly.
I had also considered shower curtains as hangings. There are so many different patterns to choose from and where you put them is up too you.
Have you ever seen the tapestries that some of the fancier houses have. I would really love to make one of my own. I mean I would have to as I can't afford to purchase anything that lavish. I love to do tapestry and cross stitch so this should be fun.
Use your imagination. I hate to have to store all those blankets and parting with them is even harder. I figure why not brighten up a room with them.

Art.com has some great tapestries.

I am always impressed when I see people cutting material (whatever has a pattern or color that pleases them, bedsheets, curtains, even blouses) into sections, put these in frames and hang several symetrically on one wall.

I am yet to see one of these looking bad. Although I am sure some do.
