Default Using paper to decorate.

Paper is a very versatile product and comes in just about any color and pattern you might want to use in your decorating.

Paper can be used to cover lamp shades, to use as backgrounds in photos you wish to either hang on the wall, or sit on a stand and can be made to accent the colors of your room.

You can even cut different sized circles of colored paper to use as accents on a childs dresser or bookcase.

How about making paper tubes and gluing them together around a container to use as pencil holder. Again, in comes the accent colors for your room.

How about making origami paper squares and gluing them to a window shade using spray craft adhesive. It will give the shade a customized look and also add to the darkening of bedroom.

You can also cut out roses and other flowers and use them to decopage a small box that can be set on your dresser or home office desk in which you can store small items. Keeping these surfaces clutter free.

And the list is endless of the things that you can do with everyday products to enhance the look of your home.

I really like your ideas. This would be one way to create awesome designs in the colors of your choice at a very low cost.

One of the toughest parts about decorating can be the cost of items. Another is once you find just the look you have been wanting it is in the wrong color. Paper decorating takes all of those out of the picture.

You are so right, using paper takes a lot of the expensive out of decorating, and you can find it in an infinite amount of colors. There is colored paper out there to match any decorating idea you may come up with.

Even using shelf paper to cover the top of a damaged end table or dresser can be done in just about any color you can imaginge for a quick fix.

I have actually done just what you said. The countertop in my bathroom is pretty old and scarred up but I didn't have the money to replace it just yet. My solution was to purchase contact paper to use to cover it. I was actually able to find a wood grain that almost matched perfectly the wood that is in my bathroom so it worked out great. It cost me $2 to do this!

Paper is invaluable as a decorating tool. There are endless uses for using it to change the look of a room. I love changing out the look of a lampshade, either with paint, or paper, or both.........add a bit of ornamentation with the help of my craft supplies, and I have a custom lampshade that adds a lot to the look of my room, for just pennies.
